Scotiaport

Scotiaport is an 800-hectare project along the CN rail line in Onslow, N.S. The inland shipping terminal is meant to improve the flow of cargo through the Port of Halifax and reduce congestion on downtown streets. It will bring innovation to short haul goods transportation using hydrogen and heavy haul battery-electric locomotion, automation and artificial intelligence to enhance transportation, supply chain efficiencies, while also addressing climate change management and mitigation

The Logo

The logo illustrates the interchange that happens at the inland port, facilitating the journey of freight from Nova Scotia’s hub. The icon brings a dual meaning based on the form of the Nova Scotia flag to show intersecting lines of travel.
